How do I choose the best wheelbarrow motor for an electric wheelbarrow project?

Before talking about voltage, torque, or wheel size, the first thing to clarify is what‘s’ the electric wheelbarrow real working conditions.
Different applications or working conditions which need different requirements:
Agriculture or gardening: needs smooth torque, long battery capacity, and waterproof design to handle mud and grass.
Construction or heavy-duty transport: requires higher torque and stronger hubs to carry heavy loads (often 150–300 kg).
Warehouse logistics: focuses on speed, efficiency, and low noise for indoor use.
Hilly or uneven terrain: needs motors with higher torque and good braking performance to handle slopes safely.
A clear understanding of your working environment helps you select the right motor type.
For example, if your wheelbarrow will mostly run on flat ground, a 350W motor might be enough. But for steep or uneven terrain, 500–800W is a safer choice.
The key factor to judge whether the motor with enough power for your working conditions is the max torque value and not the power.
